LA Airport Board awards USD1.3bn Tom Bradley contracts to Walsh Austin Joint Venture

Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners awarded (19-Oct-2009) two contracts to Walsh Austin Joint Venture, totaling USD1.26 billion, to reconfigure Los Angeles International Airport's Tom Bradley International Terminal:

  • Bradley West Gates Project: USD545.5 million (with a USD61.4 million contingency), including construction of nine new boarding gates. Scheduled for completion in 2012;
  • Bradley West Core Improvements: USD584.2 million (with a USD66.7 million contingency), covering upgrades to the Federal Inspection Service/Customs and Border Protection facilities; addition of secured corridors between Terminals 3 and 4; and over 1.25 million sq ft for F&B and retail concessions.
