Korean Air orders five B747-8s

Korean Air and Boeing announced (04-Dec-2009) an order for five B747-8 aircraft, for delivery between 2013 and 2015, with Korean Air becoming the first Asian airline to order the passenger version of the new B747-8. Korean Air, which already has orders for seven B747-8Fs, plans to operate the aircraft on long-haul routes to the Americas and Europe. First delivery of the passenger version of the aircraft is scheduled for 4Q2011.
