Korean Air orders five B747-8s

Korean Air and Boeing announced (04-Dec-2009) an order for five B747-8 aircraft, for delivery between 2013 and 2015, with Korean Air becoming the first Asian airline to order the passenger version of the new B747-8. Korean Air, which already has orders for seven B747-8Fs, plans to operate the aircraft on long-haul routes to the Americas and Europe. First delivery of the passenger version of the aircraft is scheduled for 4Q2011. With the addition of the Korean Air order, Boeing has secured 110 orders for the B747-8, of which 32 are for the B747-8 and 78 B747-8Fs. [more]
