Kenya Airways receives one 737-800 and one 787-8

Kenya Airways announced (20-Oct-2014) it took delivery of one Boeing 737-800 and one 787-8 on 20-Oct-2014 as part of its fleet renewal programme. The 737 is the airline's first to feature the Boeing 'Sky Interior'. The carrier's new 737-800s will replace existing aircraft and are expected to significantly reduce its average fleet age and allow it to commence new routes and increase frequency on existing services. The airline expects to take delivery of two more 737s in 2014 and three more 787s in 2015. The airline now operates six 787-8s. [more - original PR]
