Kenya Airways confirms completion of voluntary redundancy programme

Kenya Airways confirmed (06-Sep-2012) the completion of its voluntary retirement programme. 126 staff elected to accept the airline's redundancy offer, which is part of a plan to reduce the company's employee cost base of KES13.4 billion (USD159.2 million) by 10-15%. Kenya Airways CEO Titus Naikuni said, "Kenya Airways' cost base has grown disproportionately to our revenue generation.
