PT Angkasa Pura I passenger traffic increase by 21.7% in 1Q2016

PT Angkasa Pura I (API) reported (29-Apr-2016) passenger traffic across its network of 13 airports increased 21.7% year-on year in 1Q2016 to 19.6 million, while aircraft movement increased 12% to 181,000. API corporate secretary Farid Indra Nugraha stated
Solo City Adi Sumarmo Airport had the highest passenger growth rate at 50.3%, followed by Kupang El Tari Airport with 45.7%, Lombok International Airport at (43.76%) and Manado Sam Ratulangi Airport with 26.3%. Mr Nugraha said collectively API received 12 new routes between Dec-2015 and Apr-2016 and at least four additional frequencies. API noted the four strongest growing airports are results of the Collaborative Destination Development (CDD) workshops, which were held at all four airports. CDD workshop gathers local travel agencies, airlines and other industry associated entities to encourage cooperation and partnership towards improving tourism and traffic. According to Mr Nugraha, results from CDD has been "incredible", API plans to organise more CDD workshops at other airports. [more - original PR - Indonesian]
