Jet2.com operating profit down in FY2012

Dart Group reports (21-Jun-2012) the following financial highlights for the 12 months ended Mar-2012:

• Revenue: GBP683 million, +25.8% year-on-year;
  • Jet2.com: GBP416.1 million, +18.5%;
• Operating costs: GBP654.5 million, +26.8%;
• Operating profit: GBP28.5 million, +5.9%;
  • Jet2.com: GBP21.7 million, -11.8%;
• Profit/loss before tax: GBP28.1 million, +7.3%;
  • Jet2.com: GBP21.7 million, -10.0%;
• Net profit: GBP22.7 million, +31.2%;
• Passenger numbers: 4.3 million, +27%;

Dart Group: "In the year to 31-Mar-2012, Jet2.com operated 145 routes from our eight Northern bases to 49 destinations. We flew 4.3 million scheduled service passengers and sold over 200,000 package holidays.
