Jazeera Airways expects to be profitable in 2011

Jazeera Airways Chairman Marwan Boodai stated the carrier expects to be profitable in 2011 (Reuters, 11-Apr-2011). The carrier posted a net loss of KWD2.8 million (USD10.1 million) in 2010 but swung to net profitability in 4Q2010. "The firm aims at posting profit in each quarter of 2011," Mr Boodai said. He also stated the carrier is targeting market share of up to 15% in 2011, adding that in 2012 the picture would change with Jazeera expanding its fleet.
