Ireland eliminates Air Travel Tax from Apr-2014, to maintain reduced VAT on tourism-related services

Ireland's Ministry of Finance, in its Budget Statement on 15-Oct-2013, stated (15-Oct-2013) the 9% reduced VAT rate, which was introduced in 2011 as part of the Government Jobs Initiative for tourism related services and was due to revert to 13.5% on 31-Dec-2013, is being retained.
