Intra-Africa traffic small and fragmented: Ethiopian Airlines CEO

Ethiopian Airlines CEO Tewolde GebreMariam, speaking at the CAPA World Aviation Summit, said (20-Nov-2014) traffic between countries in Africa is small and fragmented and the density of traffic would not support LCCs on the scale of those in Europe or Asia. Mr GebreMariam expects the situation in Africa to change with growth in the region's middle class, deregulation and development of regional trade groupings.
