IATA: "The year began with further increases in air travel and freight volumes. International air travel grew further in January, by 0.5% over December and by 8.6% compared with the low point of the cycle in February last year. The market has still not recovered the losses of 2008 and early 2009. There is a further 2% to go before early 2008 levels are regained and 2 years of growth has been lost since then. Demand is now moving encouragingly quickly in the right direction but there is still some way to go before air transport markets could be described as having recovered," Source: IATA, 02-Mar-2010.
