Interest in privatisation of Spain's airport control towers

Spanish Government received applications from companies interested in contracts for the partial privatisation of 13 airport control towers in 2011 (Typically Spanish, 14-Dec-2010). The towers are located in Alicante, Valencia, Ibiza, La Palma de Mallorca, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Sevilla, Jerez, Sabadell, Cuatro Vientos, Vigo, A Coruña and Melilla. The remaining control towers will be privatised from 2012. The government has also received a number of applications to manage airspace at the 13 airports concerned.
