Incheon sets sales target of USD1.2bn in 2010

Incheon International Airport Corp (IIAC) set a sales target of USD1.2 billion at Seoul Incheon International Airport in 2010 following a strong first-quarter performance (Dfnionline, 16-Jul-2010). In 2009, IIAC generated sales of around USD950 million, an increase of 17% compared with 2009 figures.

IIAC: "This year has started really well. We generated sales of USD290 million in the first quarter, which represents a 44% rise compared with the corresponding period last year. The strong Korean won is a major factor in this. Chinese consumers are extremely important as they are an emerging market. We are always looking to work with Chinese airlines and travel agencies to offer discounts for passengers transiting through the airport." Sang-Ho Lee, Marketing Planning Team Manager.
