Iberia seeking 'consensus with unions' on proposed low-cost airline
Iberia Chairman, Antonio Vazquez, stated the carrier wants "consensus with unions" on a new low-cost short-medium range airline before summer-2010 (Reuters/AFP, 02-Jun-2010). The plan to create a Madrid-based low-cost network to feed the carrier's growing long-haul business was announced in Oct-2009, as part of its 2012 strategic plan.
