Iberia passenger traffic up 2.2% - consolidated traffic highlights:

  • Jun-2010:
    • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +2.2% year-on-year;
    • Load factor: 85.2%, +2.2 ppts;
      • Domestic: 76.9%, +0.3 ppt;
      • Medium-haul: 78.5%, -1.2 ppt;
      • Long-haul: 89.5%, +3.7 ppts;
  • Six months ended 30-Jun-2010:
    • Passenger traffic: -0.9%;
    • Load factor: 81.7%, +2.8 ppts;
      • Domestic: 72.0%, +0.8 ppt;
      • Medium-haul: 74.8%, +1.7 ppt;
      • Long-haul: 86.4%, +3.4 ppts. [more]

Iberia: "In the overall network, load factor improved by 2.2 ppts with respect to the previous year, to 85.2%. Revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) grew by 2.2% and capacity measured in available seat kilometres (ASK) fell 0.4%. Unit revenue per ASK increased significantly and the difference with respect to last year continued to widen despite a 7.2% growth in the average stage length.
