IATA: Global commercial aircraft fleet to reach nearly 28,000 in 2016

IATA forecast (02-Jun-2016) the global commercial aircraft fleet will expand 3.9% year-on-year in 2016, to 27,930. Available seats will expand 5.8% to 3.9 million, as average aircraft size continues to slowly increase. Seats per aircraft is forecast at 141, up 1.4% from 2015.
