Hong Kong sets monthly cargo and aircraft movement records

Hong Kong International Airport reports pax traffic up 12% - traffic highlights in Oct-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.4 million, +11.9%;
  • Aircraft movements: 27,195, +13.7%;
  • Air cargo: 373,000 tonnes, +15.5%. [more]

Airport Authority Hong Kong: "It is very encouraging to see new records being set at HKIA, which indicate a strong start to the fourth quarter. The rebound in cargo throughput has been particularly strong. HKIA moved the largest volumes of cargo in the first three quarters of this year when compared to all other airports worldwide."
