Hong Kong approves Singapore Airlines fuel surcharge rise

Hong Kong's Civil Aviation Department approved passenger fuel surcharges levied by Singapore Airlines for the month of Feb-2011 (Finet, 20-Jan-2011). The new maximum levels of fuel surcharges for short-haul services will be HKD143 (USD18), up 11%, while for long-haul flights will increase by 9% to HKD677 (USD87). Cathay Pacific and ANA also received approval to increase passenger fuel surcharge for the month.
