Hochtief revenue down 2.9% in 2009, revises 2010 outlook upward

Germany's HOCHTIEF revenue down 2.9% - financial highlights for the 12 months ended 31-Dec-2009:

• Revenue: EUR18,166 million, -2.9% year-on-year;
• EBITDA: EUR767.2 million, +17.5%;
• Profit before tax: EUR600.5 million, +20.8%;
• Profit after tax: EUR408.2 million, +26.0%;
• Net profit: EUR195.2 million, +24.5%;
• Airport passenger numbers: 88.7 million, -1.4%;
• Order backlog: EUR35,000 million, +15%. [more]

HOCHTIEF: "Despite the difficult economic conditions and in view of the still young fiscal year, we are optimistic that in 2010 our pretax profit and consolidated net profit will be slightly above the 2009 level - not least thanks to our very healthy order backlog and current opportunities," Company statement.
