Hamburg Airport reports EUR40m profit in 2014, predicts 15m pax in 2015

Hamburg Airport reported (31-Mar-2015) a "good result" with a profit of EUR40.2 million in 2014, an increase of 7.8% year-on-year. Revenue increased 6.6% to EUR271.3 million. During the year the airport handled 14.8 million passengers, marking a growth of 9.3% and a new passenger record for the airport. Commenting on the outlook for 2015, CEO Michael Eggenschwiler said, "The new financial year will bring a great deal of positives. For the passenger, there are many new routes, meaning more choice. And our neighbours can continue to depend on the airport's reliability and transparency. Hamburg Airport has already had a good start to the year 2015, with 6.3 percent passenger growth over the first two months of the year.
