Guangzhou Airport revenue up 8.4%, profits also up in 2009

China's Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport reports (13-Mar-2010) the following financial/traffic highlights for the 12 months ended 31-Dec-2009 (according to Chinese Accounting Standard):

  • Operating revenue: USD484.1 million, +8.4% year-on-year;
    • Aviation services: USD279.9 million, +11.9%;
      • Passenger services: USD97.5 million, +10.8%;
      • Airport construction fees: USD67.0 million, +9.3%;
      • Landing fees: USD55.9 million, +27.8%;
    • Non-aeronautical: USD204.1 million, +4.0%;
      • Agency revenue: USD46.7 million, -2.2%;
      • Rental: USD44.3 million, +20.1%;
      • Ground handling: USD42.3 million, +17.7%;
      • Advertising: USD23.0 million, -20.9%;
      • Airline catering: USD14.3 million, +7.3%;
      • Retail: USD9.4 million, +4.2%;
      • Car park: USD7.9 million, +12.0%;
  • Operating costs: USD301.5 million, +7.7%;
  • Operating profit: USD110.7 million,
  • Net profit: USD79.6 million, +12.0%;
  • Passenger numbers: 37.1 million, +10.8%;
  • Cargo volume: 955,300 tonnes, +39.3%;
  • Aircraft movements: 308,800, +10.2%.
