Grupo Mexicana suspends flights until further notice

Nuevo Grupo Aeronáutico, SA de CV (Grupo Mexicana) announced (27-Aug-2010) that as a result of the group's delicate financial situation when it changed owners a week ago, compounded by failure to reach agreements that would allow for the capitalisation of its three airlines, Mexicana Airlines, MexicanaClick and MexicanaLink flights will be suspended until further notice as of midday 28-Aug-2010. Meanwhile, Aeromexico announced plans to offer special fares for Mexicana ticket holders from 27-Aug-2010 to 20-Sep-2010 on routes operated in common with Mexicana.
