Germany heightens security at airports over terrorist threat

Germany's Government heightened security and police presence at its airports on 17-Nov-2010 (Associated Press, 17-Nov-2010). Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere stated the move was the result of tangible intelligence of an increased terror threat from Islamic extremists to the country. Security has also been heightened at railway stations and other public places.
