Garuda Indonesia operating profit more than doubles in first nine months of 2012

Garuda Indonesia reported a 14.4% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to USD2390 million and a 140.4% increase in operating profit to USD92.8 million in the first nine months of 2012, according to Antara News. The carrier also reported a 20.2% increase in passenger numbers to 14.9 million and an 18.7% increase in cargo transported to 201,070 tons. Load factor improved by 0.7 ppt to 75.9% while passenger yield also rose to USD 9.55 cents.
