French airports pax up 6% to 164 million, cargo down 4% in 2011

Union of French Airports reported (05-Mar-2012) the following traffic highlights at French airports in 2011:

• Passenger numbers: 163.6 million, +6.3% year-on-year;
• Cargo volume: 2.5 million, -4.0%;
• Aircraft movements: 1.9 million, +3.4%.

According to the airport association, 2011 was a record year for passenger traffic, surpassing 2007 and 2008 levels.
