Frankfurt pax down 1%, cargo up 4% in Mar-2013; cargo grow for first time since 2011

Germany's Fraport stated (11-Apr-2013) around half of Frankfurt Airport's 2% year-on-year passenger decline in 1Q2013 can be attributed to strikes and adverse weather conditions. Domestic passengers fell 6% while intercontinental passengers increased 1%, "despite the difficult business environment." Cargo traffic at the airport grew for the first time since 2011, up 1.1% in 1Q2013.
