Frankfurt Airport commences construction of new pier A-Plus

Germany's Frankfurt Airport announced (01-Sep-09) it has commenced construction of the new pier A-Plus, following the laying of the foundation stone on 01-Sep-09. The new pier is scheduled to be completed in 2012 at a cost of close to EUR500 million. Spread over an area of more than 185,000 sqm, it will provide additional capacity for around 6 million passengers p/a and be used exclusively by Lufthansa. [more]
