Four-day French strike to cause disruptions

French travellers are likely to experience disruption as six trade unions have called on airline and airport workers to conduct strike action from 05-Nov-2010 (Breaking Travel News, 02-Nov-2010). The national Society of Airline Pilots (SNPL) and the SNPNC flight attendant union have called for a four-day walkout ending on 08-Nov-2010. President Nicolas Sarkozy proposed a reform to make certain benefits taxable, which are not provided by their employers. Unions expect the move to have "serious financial consequences" on staff.
