Fokker Services places 19 Fokker aircraft in 1H2014

Fokker Services, part of Fokker Technologies, announced (21-Jul-2014) it placed 19 Fokker aircraft with five existing and four new Fokker operators during 1H2014. These comprise seven Fokker 50s, eight Fokker 70s and four Fokker 100s. In addition, leases were extended on two Fokker 50s, as well as four Fokker 100s.

• Insel Air: Two Fokker 50s to add to its fleet of three, while also taking three long-range Fokker 70s to expand its network;
• Surinam Fly Always: Two Fokker 70s;
• Bek Air: Two Fokker 100s;
• Denim Air ACMI: Two Fokker 100s added to its AOC;
• Alliance Airlines: Three Fokker 70s ;
• Virgin Australia Regional Airlines: Extended leases on four Fokker 100s.

Fokker also reported that recent validation of the Fokker 50 in Mexico has paved the way for the introduction of the Fokker 50 by Air Cuahonte, dba Mayair, and others in the near future. [more - original PR]
