Finnair baggage handlers end five-day strike

Finnair baggage handlers ended strike action on 04-Dec-2009 following talks between the Finnish Aviation Union and Barona Group resulting in a mediation proposal by the union (Associated Press, 04-Dec-2009). The five-day strike followed an announcement of plans by the carrier to sell its baggage handling subsidiary Northport and the transfer of 490 employees to Barona Group.
