Fiji Airways says five-year plan is about establishing sustainable profitability not growth

Fiji Airways CEO Stefan Pichler, speaking on CAPA TV, said (07-Aug-2014) the airline's five-year plan is a financial plan not a growth plan. Mr Pichler explained it is about "growing the bottom line, growing the cash flow, and the result is we have to grow capacity, we have to grow the network in terms of frequencies and new destinations, we have to grow the workforce." Mr Pichler noted the airline plans to grow capacity by 3.5% year-on-year, noting it is "very conservative, but we prefer to be in a position of sustainable profitability." [more - CAPA TV]
