Euro Area Leading Economic Index increases again in Dec-2009

Euro Area Leading Economic Index (LEI) increased 0.9% in Dec-2009 to 106.6 (2004 = 100). The LEI for the Euro Area has has rebounded strongly since Mar-2009. Economic conditions are "likely to improve in the near term, [although] the employment and consumer outlook may make the recovery weaker and more protracted", according to The Conference Board.
