Etihad converts options for three B777-300ERs; cancels four B787s

Etihad Airways has reportedly converted options to purchase three B777-300ERS after cancelling orders for four B787s (The National, 07-Mar-2011). The three B777-300ERS are priced at USD852.3 million at list prices while the four B787s are worth USD872.4 million at list price. The cancellation reduces Etihad's total orders of the B787 to 31. The carrier stated the B777s will help "bridge the gap" caused by the B787 delays.
