Etihad Airways: Legacy industry needs to change fast to meet challenges

Etihad Airways CEO James Hogan, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, stated (07-Aug-2013) the challenges of legacy airlines of high cost and productivity and political interference will mean that the industry has to "change fast". The industry needs to address challenges of meeting new traffic flows, handling airspace congestion, meeting unionised workforces over cost and productivity and heavy government regulation.
