Ethiopian Airlines hopes to raise revenues to USD10bn by 2025

Ethiopian Airlines plans to raise its annual revenues to USD10 billion by 2025 under a 15-year strategic plan (NNN-ENA, 03-Jan-2010). New CEO, Tewelde Gebremariam said the carrier would be restructured into seven independent departments over the next several years. Under the strategic plan, Ethiopian will tranpoert 13 million international passengers to 92 destinations annually using 70 jet aircraft. It also targets to carry 5.0 million domestic passengers to 26 destinations using 27 turbo-prop aircraft while jumbo cargo aircarft will be deployed to increase its annual cargo capacity to 700,000 tons.
