Embraer looking to develop larger passenger aircraft

Embraer reportedly plans to develop a new aircraft based on the E-195 regional jet, with delivery tentatively scheduled for 2015-2016, if the manufacturer decides to proceed with the project (Reuters, 30-Jan-2010). The aircraft would be Embraer's largest ever commercial aircraft, reacting to airline demand for larger aircraft, but would not exceed 150 seats. The E-195 can seat up to 122 passengers.
