Egyptair's revenues slump 80% since political turmoil

Egyptair Chairman Ahmed Massoud stated the carrier's revenue has slumped 80% since the political turmoil commenced in Egypt but stated the carrier is hopeful the country will achieve stability and EgyptAir will recover the lost ground before the 2011 winter schedule (Anadolu Agency, 02-Mar-2011). Mr Massoud stated the worst day for the airline was "day one of the crisis, when we had to stop all flights and a curfew was imposed." Mr Massoud stated the ongoing crisis in the Middle East/Africa would have an adverse effect on aviation in the region.
