easyJet should return GBP600m to shareholders: Sir Stelios

easyJet founder and major shareholder Sir Stelios has called for the LCC to return GBP600 million to shareholders (Telegraph, 11-May-2011). Sir Stelios stated he is concerned about the LCC's cash reserves of GBP1.44 billion, which he claims is "about GBP600 million over and above the board mandated policy of holding GBP4 million per aircraft". CEO Carolyn McCall stated she and Sir Stelios meet every six weeks, adding "he's never going to be happy".
