easyJet has not seen impact from Euro sovereign debt crisis: CEO

easyJet CEO Carolyn McCall stated the Euro sovereign debt crisis has not had a noticeable impact on the carrier. In an interview with Welt am Sonntag, Ms McCall commented that people "don't seem to be willing to let events in Brussels ruin their summer holidays", although she noted that "of course, that could change any day". She continued: "There seems to be a difference between British and German clients. The Brits don't seem to care at all about what happens in the world [when it comes to travel]. Even during this year's unrest in northern Africa they kept on flying to Egypt. That may be due to the bad British weather."
