easyJet calls on airports to become more efficient
easyJet CEO Carolyn McCall, speaking at the World Low-Cost Airlines Conference in London, stated (20-Sep-2011) "too many [European] airports still focus on serving the old business models". Many remain inefficient operators, Ms McCall said, adding that "not only do such airports" usually "cost more than they should, they also lead to less efficient, and less desirable passenger journeys".
