EADS reports EUR12m net loss in 1Q2011, maintains 2011 outlook

EADS, parent company of Airbus, revenue up 10% - financial highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2011:

  • Revenue: EUR8950 million, +10.1% year-on-year;
    • Airbus commercial: EUR6707 million, +12.4%;
  • EBIT*: EUR192 million, +131%;
    • Airbus commercial: EUR125 million, +1983%;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR12 million), compared with a profit of EUR103 million in p-c-p;
  • Order intake**: EUR6268 million, -56%;
    • Airbus commercial: EUR3647 million, -67%;
  • Order book**: EUR422,362 million, -6% when compared with the period ended 31-Dec-2010;
    • Airbus commercial: EUR353,574 million, -7%;
  • Total assets: EUR85,147 million, +2% when compared with the period ended 31-Dec-2010;
  • Cash and cash equivalents: EUR4958 million, -1% when compared with the period ended 31-Dec-2010;
  • Total liabilities: EUR74,345 million, stable;
  • FY2011 forecast:
    • Revenue: Above 2010 level;
    • EBIT*: EUR1300 million, stable;
    • Aircraft deliveries: 520 to 530 commercial aircraft. [more]
