Dublin Aerospace: Most ancillary revenue earned before the passenger steps on an aircraft

Dublin Aerospace executive chairman Conor McCarthy, speaking at CAPA's Airlines in Transition Conference on 25/26-Mar-2015, stated (25-Mar-2015) most ancillary revenue is earned before the passenger flies, and leaving ancillary revenue generation for in-flight is a "difficult sell". Revenues on-board tend to be small, although the margins are "good".
