DHL deploys B767ERF on trans-Atlantic service

DHL Express deployed B767ERF aircraft on services from Leipzig to New York JFK, operated by DHL Air, on 23-Sep-2009. DHL Air is scheduled to take delivery of six B767ERFs to replace it current shared fleet of MD-11Fs through a JV with Lufthansa Cargo. The carrier stated cargo volume on its its trans-Atlantic services has remained at a high level during the economic downturn and expects traffic to increase when the global economy fully recovers.
