Delta Air Lines pax up 1%, load factor down in Aug-2013; PRASM up 4%

Delta Air Lines passenger numbers up 1% - traffic highlights for Aug-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 15.7 million, +0.7% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +2.7%;
    • Domestic: +0.6%;
      • Mainline: +1.5%;
      • Regional: -3.2%;
    • International: +5.4%;
  • Passenger load factor: 87.3%, -0.5ppts;
    • Domestic: 85.3%, -1.8ppts;
      • Mainline: 86.9%, -1.7ppts;
      • Regional: 79.2%, -2.4ppts;
    • International: 90%, +1.2ppts;

Delta: "Consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) for the month of August increased 4.0 percent year over year, with strong performance in domestic, trans-Atlantic and Latin markets.
