Croatian start-up Adriatic Skyways announces partnership with Denim Air

Adriatic Skyways announced (17-Feb-2014) a partnership with Denim Air in order to "promote and develop airline traffic from the Balkan region", with the latter to operate services for the Croatian start-up under its Dutch air operator's certificate. The start-up plans to initially lease a Fokker 50 and a Fokker 100 from Denim Air. Adriatic Skyways stated: "The business model excludes starting its own AOC to stay lean and low cost, and therefore Adriatic Skyways has selected Denim AIR ACMI as its operator. The aircraft are in Adriatic Skyways livery and the flight program is managed by Adriatic Skyways. The entire flight experience for the passengers is an Adriatic Skyways product." According to its website, Adriatic Skyways will be headquartered at Cavtat, near Dubrovnik. A launch date was not specified. [more - original PR]
