Copenhagen Airport reports 7% fall in Jul-2009 pax numbers

Denmark's Copenhagen International Airport reports (11-Aug-09) the following traffic highlights in Jul-2009:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.0 million, -6.8% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 158,512, +3.5%;
    • International: 1.8 million, -7.6%;
  • Aircraft movements: 19,908, -12.8%.

Copenhagen Airport: "Although the number of passengers continued to fall, July was still the best month of the year so far. There were many holiday travellers in July, and the figures confirm that, in spite of the economic downturn, the Danes have only to a minor extent stopped travelling on holiday," Carsten Nørland, VP Aviation, Copenhagen Airports A/S.
