Copenhagen Airport reports 7% fall Aug-2009 pax numbers

Denmark's Copenhagen International Airport reports (10-Sep-09) the following traffic highlights in Aug-2009:

• Passenger numbers: 1.9 million, -7.6% year-on-year;
  • Domestic: 176,474, +0.1%;
  • International: 1.7 million, -8.3%;
• Aircraft movements: 20,301, -13.5%.

Copenhagen Airport: "Passenger numbers dropped in the Spring, but the trend stopped over the Summer, and passenger numbers have now stabilised at a lower level than last year. We had almost 5.8 million passengers in June, July and August, down from 6.2 million in the three holiday months of last year," Carsten Nørland, VP Aviation, Copenhagen Airports A/S.
