Continental in process of selecting senior officers for merged airline

Continental Airlines Chief Administration Officer, Pete McDonald, advised (23-Jul-2010) staff that CEO, President and Chairman, Jeff Smisek, is in the process of selecting senior officers for the merged Continental/United Airlines. The airline expects all officers to be named prior to the legal closing of the merger, which is on track for 4Q2010. No employees, other than certain officers, will be removed from the payroll as a result of the merger before 31-Mar-2010.
