China's aviation industry reports 364% surge in Jul-2010 profit

CAAC reports the following financial/traffic highlights in Jul-2010 (Yicai.com, 16-Aug-2010):

  • Profit: USD948.8 million, +363.5%;
    • Airlines: USD808.2 million,
    • Airports: USD76.1 million,
    • Other: USD64.4 million,
  • Passenger numbers: 25.5 million, +21.0%;
  • Load factor: 83.6%, +6.8 ppts;
  • Cargo volume: 4445,400 tonnes, +23.6%;
  • Aircraft utilisation rate: 9.8 hours, +0.2 hour.

Meanwhile, Air China, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines are expected to report net profits of USD585.7 million, USD292.8 million and USD410.0 million, respectively, in 3Q2010.
