China's aviation industry back in the black in 2009

CAAC stated China's aviation industry bounced back in 2009, reporting a profit of CNY12.2 billion (USD1.8 billion), compared to a loss of CNY26 billion (USD3.8 billion) in 2008 (Xinhua, 13-Jan-2010). The country's airline industry reported a combined operating revenue of CNY212 billion and a profit of CNY7.4 billion, compared to a loss of CNY31.8 billion in 2008, while airports reported CNY34 billion in operating revenue and CNY30 billion in profits in 2009, CNY500 million less than 2008.
