China Southern studying plans to use A380 on Canton route to Sydney

China Southern Airlines chairman Tan Wangeng confirmed the carrier does "have a plan to use the A380 on the Canton route". Mr Tan, as quoted by Carnoc.com, stated load factor on twice daily Sydney service, currently operated with A330 equipment, have been very satisfactory and the carrier is now "studying the possibility of using the A380 on this route", effectively increasing frequency on the sector to three times daily. According to Mr Tan, 30% of passengers on its Canton route are from Australia and Europe. China Southern is also reportedly planning to use the Boeing 787, scheduled for delivery later this year, on services to Sydney and London.
